I took Alexander lessons for about six months, and loved it but never quite grasped what my teacher was saying about "spinal freedom." After taking your class (probably after about the fourth class), I had this "aha" moment where I could actually feel my whole spine and felt like I finally got it. It was awesome.

I took 2 classes so far in the past week and this stretch class is exactly what was missing from my workout routine.
I expected to feel a difference within a few classes, but didn't expect the difference I felt after the first class. Running the following day was a breeze and my calves (usually very tight after a run) were totally open. I was amazed. I have a long way to go but these 2 classes made me understand how important it is to know your body and connect with it. Can't wait for the next one!

Lastics is a class which allows you to do something for your body unlike any other class. The thought of working out is discouraging at times because you picture having to sweat, burn and feel pain. When I think about going to lastics, I don't think I need a workout or a burn, instead it is when I want to give my mind and body an hour of appreciation and attention that it deserves. Lastics has two major parts to it that makes it so special. The mental and the physical. During the class, Donna talks you through every movement and allows you to put your thoughts towards a specific muscle. She tells you to become aware or wait till it tells you it's there. This attention literally feeds my body and soul. With lastics I am able to thank each muscle while I'm in a stretch because that is where my focus is. How many times a week or a month are your thoughts directed at your muscles? Your body and muscles deserve attention, care and appreciation for allowing you to move about your day and help you stand up straight. That's one of the major reasons why Lastics is in a class of its own.
With lastics I've stretched muscles that I've never felt or isolated before. Donna never misses a beat or a classmate hiding in the back. She will make sure you are doing it right and that your muscles are getting the stretch they need. These are not your average stretches. She has little tricks that she pulls out of her hat like, "picture a string pulling this muscle towards the wall," and wow what a difference these tricks make. This class has tremendously improved my posture and provided me with so much knowledge on how to properly stretch my body. Its gets to those kinks that you think are so deep they'll never be discovered, that they’ll keep lingering with the same sore, dull feeling. Everytime I went to get a deep tissue massage to try to get rid of these kinks, I was never satisfied because it didn't give me what I needed. However, Lastics is the class that will give you what you hope to get out of every massage.

I am a writer and teacher and have done dance of different kinds throughout my life. I have never done stretching or a stretch class that put me into a sweat and felt like a work out! The moves Donna has put together spoke to spaces in my body I never knew existed. I came to Donna's class during the period of a disabling condition (bad case of piriformis syndrome) and have knee and hip and back issues too. I found the moves very therapeutic and had relief and improvement right away.

I benefit in many ways from Lastics. I know it keeps me healthier in general, which is most important. I think flexibility is a key factor in body health. But the reason that I'm truly passionate about Lastics----what keeps me coming to class every week---is that it has improved my ballet. Even as I got more limber, the class was always challenging. It's "self-adjusting" to the body and level of each student. I've noticed when I'm sitting or walking around, my posture is MUCH better and it's easy to do. It comes naturally. The muscles have been strengthened to support my good posture. In fact, it often feels better to sit up straight then to slouch. Also, when I miss a class or two and then come back, I can feel it in my body. I can feel that I'm working harder and my muscles have gotten a little out of shape. For me, that's proof that the class is doing a lot of good.

Rate Your Burn gives Lastics a thumb's up! I really like the idea of this class, because I love to stretch. The time flew by.
Just did my Lastics video for the first time. I swear I feel two inches taller! I'm 36, started Taekwondo three years ago, and will test for my black belt next February. But I kick like an old woman. I am thankful for Lastics as I work to improve my flexibility!

OH MY GOSH Donna!! Your Lastics dvd is so awesome!! I did the dvd last night and I have never experienced such knowledge and instructions, NEVER!! I recently joined a yoga studio (hoping to gain flexibility in my extremely tight hips and hamstrings) and have been told to bend. I can't wait to see the flexibility I gain from doing this workout. Just bought it, and tried it! AMAZING! I am so glad I found out about Lastics. 15 minutes into the workout, and I was FINALLY able to feel, and reach, and stretch the unattainable core of my lower back. I just got your DVD from Lastics. I really enjoyed it. I have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic cervical myositis and moderate lumbosacral myositis. With that said, dancing, Zumba, swimming and other things hurt or exhaust me. I did the DVD for 10 minutes the first day and today, I did 15 minutes and so far I’ve liked it. It actually feels good and didn’t hurt me. As I sit here on the computer typing, I feel the urge to go do another 10 minute session.
I saw it being recommended by Women of Grace, a Catholic ministry, as an alternative to yoga which is why I ordered it. We practicing Catholics should not engage in yoga because of its origins in Hindu philosophy.

I recently purchased your DVD Lastics. I wanted to try it because I often feel tight, achy, tired and stiff in my body. I have tried out your stretching routine twice, and I must say that this offers the best stretch ever. It is really really good. I look forward to getting leaner with time as I do these stretches. I wanted to thank you for producing your Lastics stretch DVD. I dance (ballroom) socially & bought your DVD to improve my flexibility. I'm a tad unbendy at the moment but I have no doubt that with regular stretching this will improve. The unexpected bonus for me.... Due to a couple of injuries, I have had pain in my back & hips for over 12 months now. After only one session, my back and hips have improved significantly in movement. I've been taking classes once a week for the past 2 1/2 months. I purchased the DVD not quite 2 weeks and haved used it after my usual 3x/week morning jog. I already notice much improvement in my flexibility, especially my hips and hamstrings which tend to be my least flexible areas. This is one of the best investments I've made so far this year!
